What is the Shopping List?
The MRP Shopping List is an auto-generated list of items you need to buy. It compares current on-hand stock against minimum stock levels, pending production demand, and recurring rules — then tells you exactly what to buy, how much, from which vendor, and at what price.
How It Works
1. Calculate Demand — The system checks min/max stock levels, open production orders, and recurring rules.
2. Net Off Stock — Current on-hand and pending POs are subtracted from gross demand.
3. Vendor Assignment — Each item is assigned to its preferred or cheapest vendor.
4. Optimize — Group by vendor to minimize trips. Show estimated cost per vendor.
5. Generate POs — Convert the shopping list into purchase orders with one click.
