Receive
Bring new stock into the system.
What is Receiving?
Receiving is how stock enters the system. Whether you're unloading a grocery run, accepting a vendor delivery, or booking production output, you create a receive transaction. Each receive creates a new lot with quantity, cost, location, vendor, batch number, and expiration date.
How It Works
1. Select Item — Pick the item to receive (search by code or name).
2. Set Location — Choose the storage location (defaults to item's default location).
3. Enter Details — Quantity, vendor, unit cost, batch number, expiration date.
4. Cold-Chain Check — If the location is a freezer, the lot is automatically marked as frozen.
5. Confirm — A new lot is created and on-hand stock increases.
